Our marble lessons are focused on the pointing machine technique.
You will start with the creation of the wooden cross to attach the pointing machine and then progress to work on the marble piece from a plaster model.
The pointing machine technique is used to make one-to-one copies of an existing plaster model.
The first step is the creation of a bespoke crosswood for the project. After defining the three main points, you will learn the technique to use the pointing device and find out the measurements. Next step will be moving the pointing machine to the marble block, set it properly and create a network of points that gives the basis for the final sculpture.
